Joey's Fall

You stay comfortable in your own skin; you stand on your stable ground. You watch Joey fall down and down. You can't help but laugh at them, oh how Joey falls, how he slips and stays down. Look at me climbing the stairs to heaven, one step at a time carefully. While Joey descends into his despair. I am above mediocrity because watch me climb these stairs, while others stay on the ground. Let me just be careful, let me grab the handrails, I definitely do not wish to slip you climb in caution. While you climb slowly, rising carefully Joey continues falling. You are worried to take a step back, to see where you're heading. Step back? Oh, how shameful to fall even an inch below my capacity, I am courageous to take a stance, not let the world or myself doubt me. You scan the room, find yourself above others on your little staircase, you feel courageous to climb those little stairs peaking above everyone else.

You look down upon Joey again, poor Joey you wonder if he will manage to grab hold of the handrails and make his way to the little staircase. You take pride in never taking a step down, the world or yourself both fail to convince you to even lose an inch height. You take pride in your little staircase. Then you witness Joey bounce right up, launch even. His fall, rather his dive into the depth was only a jump, a leap. Swiftly you see him rise above your little staircase, rising past you and all you are left with the shame. You never fell but look at Joey now leaping into heights beyond your reach. He had the courage to fall; you lacked the courage to even look up.

Joey understood that trial and error comes with a lot of errors, while you sit on your cautious staircase with your pride of no err.
